The collaboration enables the SRCM to network with 52 universities and colleges of the Church of the Nazarene. The faculty members participate in global theology conferences sponsored by the IBOE.
Professional Mediation and Reconciliation
Professional Mediation and Reconciliation is a transformative force within the global and local judicial system. Through facilitative mediation training, participants can efficiently provide conflict resolution mechanisms. Africa Nazarene University’s comprehensive professional mediation and reconciliation training program equips mediators with essential skills to help disputants to reconcile after the case is concluded. This is possible since the program also offers reconciliation principles and mediation skills.
Successful trainees are certified and eligible to apply for recognition by the Mediation Accreditation Committee. Upon completing the 50-hour program, the trainee can work with court-annexed mediation or offer private mediation. The training has a hybrid nature of virtual and physical which makes the program effective and adaptable to one’s schedule. This training program is a cornerstone in developing conflict resolution mechanisms in Kenya and beyond. The course ensures accessibility, while its openness to diverse educational backgrounds emphasizes inclusivity and innovation. The program is done both physically and virtually within the time allocated.
In this facilitative mediation, successful participants can mediate in the following areas: commercial, human rights, environmental, intellectual property, contracts, tenants’ conflict, family mediation, succession, inheritance, divorce, election and political, and insurance claims, among others.
