Spiritual Life on Campus
As a private Christian university sponsored by the Global Church of the Nazarene, Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is committed to Christ-centered learning and life. We believe the Holy Spirit actively transforms hearts and shapes us into Christlikeness.
At ANU, spiritual life isn’t just a program – it’s part of everyday campus life.
The Office of Spiritual Development exists to support you as you grow in your faith during your time here. Whether you are exploring your beliefs or seeking to go deeper, we are here to walk alongside you.
Chapel is a central part of campus life, and all students are expected to participate as part of the ANU community.
You’ll find opportunities to connect, grow, and be supported through:

Holiness Week takes place at the beginning of the January and September terms. This is a focused week of daily chapel services (Monday – Friday), designed to help you reflect, reset, and refocus your spiritual life at the start of the term.
Christian Union
The Christian Union (CU) is a student-led ministry that operates through the Office of Spiritual Development. It provides opportunities for fellowship, worship, leadership, and spiritual growth within the student community.

Bible Study and Prayer Groups
Spiritual growth at ANU happens in community. Through the leadership of the Christian Union (CU), students gather each week for a student-led Wednesday evening of worship, Bible study, and prayer.
This midweek gathering is the central space for student-led spiritual life on campus – a place to connect, grow in your faith, and seek God together.
Additional opportunities for small group connection and prayer are offered throughout the term.
