Dr. Micky Mwamuye, from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources at Africa
Nazarene University, has been awarded a seed grant under the SG-NAPI scheme, a joint
programme between the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
(UNESCO) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) with support of the German
Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The grant will support Dr. Mwamuye’s
project titled ‘Determining the impact of the Theileria parva live vaccine on T. parva strain
distribution and tetracycline resistance determinants prevalence in the environment.’
The grant provides essential funding for research consumables, equipment, collaborative
mobility, industrial linkages, and dissemination efforts towards advancing the project’s
objectives.
