A platform for accessing thousands of online full-text databases. These are in the form of subscribed electronic journals, Electronic books, free online resources and selected institutional repositories. The resources are arranged alphabetically from a-z Please contact the library reference desk through reference@anu.ac.ke if you have any problem accessing these resources. 1. Academia. edu Academia.edu is a place to share and follow research. You can use it to search for papers submitted by other scholars or you can share your own papers. Academia.edu is also a community of academic researchers where you can create your profile and follow others who share similar research interests. 2.   BASE is a voluminous search engine especially for academic open access web resources. BASE is operated by Bielefeld University Library. As a search engine, BASE facilitates effective and targeted searches and retrieves high quality, academically relevant results.The sources which are included in BASE are intellectually selected and reviewed.  3.   The Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) is another great search engine that academics can use to search for scientific papers.You can use ERIC to search for peer reviewed papers or use its advanced search tips to refine your search and target specific journals and papers. 4. Scholar  Google Scholar provides an interphase for one to search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research. 5. HighBeam Research is a premium information service built for students, instructors, researchers, professionals, and others looking to gain deep knowledge on subjects of interest. HighBeam provides access to thousands of credible, professional, published sources. 6. JURN allows you to search for millions of free academic articles, chapters, and theses across multiple disciplines ( Arts, History, Humanities, Business, Economics, Ecology, Science and more). JURN is also a directory of over 3000 free arts and humanities journals that you can easily search from one single platform.    7. RefSeek RefSeek allows searches in more than one billion documents, including web pages, books, encyclopedias, journals, and newspapers. 8.   Springer is a powerful academic platform that provides researchers with access to millions of scientific documents from a wide variety of journals, books, series, protocols and reference works.

Eligibility (Who uses the library?) The library is open to all registered students, academic and non-academic staff. On several occasions non-Africa Nazarene University members are allowed to use the library. In such a case, one is expected to get approval by applying to the University Librarian. Registration The library registers new users at the beginning of every trimester. The users fill in a form and records are entered into the library database. Undergraduates may borrow eight books; postgraduates and academic staff may borrow ten books while non-academic staff may borrow four. Clearance All users are required to pay for lost books and overdue fines before they leave the university. Grace Roles Library, home of over 50 thousand volumes is located at the heart of Africa Nazarene University, main campus. Our team consists of 8 staff. Our collection is rich in scope, covering almost all spheres of knowledge. Grace Roles recognizes that information in the current age is packaged in physical formats and electronically. We have strived to achieve a state-of-the-art facility for students and staff, having been among the few libraries in Kenya to automate its services. We also provide our clientele with a fully equipped Multimedia center (also known as the e-center) for this purpose. Our Mission To provide state –of- the- art information resources and services that meet the teaching, learning, research and community needs of Africa Nazarene University through such means as: Acquiring, organizing, managing, housing and preserving the information resources. Using appropriate technologies for retrieval and manipulation of information. Providing personalized reference and bibliographic services. Empowering library patrons with information literacy skills, that will enable them to find, access, evaluate and information independently as a basis for life-long learning. The library closes on all gazetted public holidays. However, if a holiday falls during the exam period, the library opens to enable students to prepare for their exams.
