Spirituality

Africa Nazarene University places a high premium on the spiritual life of its members--both students and staff. To this end, the University has invested in the services of suitable and qualified Spiritual Leaders for our community.  Our Chaplain is responsible for coordinating spiritual activities on campus.

Chapel service twice a week and “Holiness Week”, held at the beginning of each trimester are a deep part of the spirituality of our community.  These are the main avenues through which the spiritual lives of students are molded.  The chapel service is particularly effective in this function because of its flexibility and regularity.

In Chapel, presentations range from sermons and drama to topical lectures on such issues as HIV and drugs. Speakers include students, staff, faculty, guest specialists in certain fields and preachers of all calibers.

Formation of special groups that enhance spiritual life is encouraged. Groups include Christian Union, Choir, Evangelism Club, and Women of Faith among others, and all play a crucial role in the spiritual life of students in the University.
