PR & CSR: The Kenya Youth Empowerment and Employment Initiative

The Kenya Youth Empowerment and Employment Initiative is a two-year effort to develop public and private partnerships, create a system of accountability and advance Kenya toward realising the goals established through Vision 2030.

The Initiative was launched in March 2, 2010 by His Excellency the President of Republic of Kenya, President Mwai Kibaki.

ANU is serving as its secretariat. There are five Strategic Enterprise Areas that have been  active to date. The Environment Strategic Enterprise Area (ESEA) has mobilised students from nine universities towards environment rehabilitation.

The group is determined to work with Secondary and Primary Schools towards tree planting in selected parts of the country.

More information about KYEEI can be found here.
