Institute of Open and Distance Learning

The Institute of Open and Distance Learning (IODL), was started for people aspiring to pursue further University training who wish to study without the constraints of attending full time face-to-face lectures for instruction.

Flexibility

The IODL has adopted the use of CAMS, an academic management system, that enables all our distance learners to register and contact all their lecturers for tutorials, discussions and completion of continuous assessment processes online. Applications will be accepted and students will be registered continuously throughout the year, but classes will only start at the beginning of the trimester: January, May or September.  Students may pay their school fees on monthly basis.

The IODL ensures the use of the available technology in the instruction of our distance learners supported from our four centers:

  1. Machakos center - situtated at Susu Center in Machakos town
  2. Kisii center - situated at Market Plaza in Kisii town
  3. Eldoret center - situated at AIC Fellowship in Eldoret town
  4. Ongata Rongai Center - situated at the Main Campus in Ongata Rongai
