Institute of Open and Distance Learning: Mode of Instruction
The courses available through the Institute of Open and Distance Learning are offered through a blended mode of instruction, which include use of:
- Self Instructional Manual
- E-mail/Online/CAMS
- Face to Face Sessions
- Cell phones
- CD ROMs
The distance learners’ course lecturer becomes the learners’ tutor, to guide and facilitate the learning processes, giving learners academic guidance and support to ensure that the distance learner receives learning that has parity with the classroom learners. Learners are able to interact with the course lecturer and fellow learners via the Comprehensive Academic Management System (CAMS) that is accessible through the Internet from anywhere in the world.
