ICT Services

Our primary objective is to deliver a service of excellence to the whole Africa Nazarene Community. This includes assistance, internet access, computer maintenance, knowledge sharing, security, email support, printing, and much more.

Our Labs
The CIS Computing Labs are available free of charge to all members of the campus community. There are five computer labs and priority for lab use is given to booked courses and assignments requiring use of specialized lab software, but the machines are otherwise available for such general uses as word processing, data analysis, and email. The labs are open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m daily with support staff available in case a problem arises. All of the labs require the use of ANU ID and personal passwords. Students are not advised to store data in the lab PCs, but each is encouraged to store in his/her personal server space.
One lab is set aside for teaching while another lab is set aside for web browsing.

Email Services
Both undergraduate and graduate students register for an email account when they begin their academic career here and each continually renews the account at the start of every semester.

Other Services
The CIS department provides services and support for a defined local area network environment. We are available for consultation and advice. Some of the department services include:

  • Installation and maintenance of servers.
  • Installation of software on ANU machines.
  • Access to site licensed software.
  • Customer support in the use of electronic communications tools.
